CCD Superstores Rebrands To Empower Lagos Consumers
Consumer Commodities Distributors Superstores (CCD Superstores) said it’s re-branding to empower consumers in Lagos State; South West Nigeria.
Mrs. Risi Ogunbor, Managing Director (MD) of the shopping Superstore said the Company started like a seed and today has grown in leaps and bounds.
“CCD Superstores which started as a small/neighbourhood Grocery store in 1993 has grown to become a purely indigenous Retail Enterprise of international standard to serve the need of the community which is inline with Lagos Grassroots development initiative” she said. In empowering consumers, Mrs. Ogunbor said the re-branded CCD Superstores is designed to give Shoppers a chance to experience freedom of choice of product-mix at an affordable price.
“Our Customers have told us they want better product-mix, better value and quality service delivery, while shopping and these are what we will be offering at today’s CCD-a trial will convenience you” she said. Mrs. Ogunbor affirmed that apart from empowering Consumers, with the re-branding of the CCD Superstores, additional jobs will be created. “Our Staff strength is expected to grow to 150” she said.
She further affirmed that CCD Superstores is seeking to expand its services to other parts of the State and beyond in no distance future. “Our vision is to grow the CDD Brand into the league of best retail businesses in Nigeria and beyond” she said.
In his speech, Akeem Adeniji, Director of Commerce & Industry representing, Lagos State Commissioner of Commerce & Industry urged CCD Superstores to focus on made in Nigeria products. “This will stimulate production, supply and demand of Nigerian Products and create expansion and provide jobs’ Adeniji said. According to him, if people have jobs to do, there will be a multiplier effect on the purchasing power of the people and create expansion and further jobs.
