Nosak Group Reinforces Commitment to Education, Donates to NGO for Back-To-School Initiative

In its continued support for education, Nosak Group has made donation to Riverwood Switch Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).  The donation was made to support the NGO’s back to school initiative to provide education for children in Makoko, a riverine settlement in Lagos recently.

Speaking during a visit to the NGO’s adopted school in Makoko, the Corporate Communications Manager, Nosak Group, Kenneth Adejumoh reiterated the Group’s commitment to providing quality and affordable education to indigent children. “Every child has a right to education. Hence, as a corporate organisation, we are focused to ensuring that every child of school age gets admitted into school to learn and pursue academic excellence.”

The teams from Nosak Group and the NGO were taken on a tour around the school premises where they had interactive sessions with the children in their various classrooms. During the tour the Founder and President of the NGO, Mobolaji Oriola disclosed that it was out of passion to provide education to every child that they spotted the Makoko School which has been adopted as a brainchild of the NGO.

Responding to the gesture, the Proprietor of the adopted school, Doyisem Best Academy, Pa Michael Pandonu, a statesman in the community lauded the partnership of Nosak Group with Riverwood Switch Foundation to put smiles on the faces of the parents and children in the area. “Since 2018 when the NGO first visited to find out about the environment and adopted our school, we have witnessed a turnaround in the number of children admitted into the school.”

He continued that the community has since had colossal number of children out of the streets joining their mates in the classrooms through funds donated to cater for their fees, uniforms, writing materials and the construction of more classroom blocks to accommodate the growing population of pupils.
