Nosak Group Appoints Fajobi As Group Head, Internal Audit
The management of Nosak Group has announced the appointment of Babatunde Adejumo Fajobi as Group Head, Internal Audit & Compliance. In this role, Fajobi will lead the Group’s internal audit risk management, review audits of the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and investigations functions. He will report to the Group Chief Operating Officer, Thomas Oloriegbe.
“Fajobi’s experience in audit, financial services and proven track record of providing assurance on both business and operations, evaluations of financial and operational business activities alongside management and development of financial controls and systems to ensure procedures and policies are followed, makes him well suited to lead internal audit for the Group,” Oloriegbe said.
Babatunde Fajobi joins Nosak Group with over 15 years of experience, spending 12 years of experience in the financial sector. Most recently he worked as the Regional Audit Supervisor at Zenith Bank Plc, where he started as Resident Auditor.
He holds an HND in Accounting and Economics, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He is s Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He has attended specialized Management training at various institutions in the country including the prestigious Lagos Business School.
Fajobi started his career with BBC Professionals in 2001 (Chartered Accountants), where he was exposed to an Accountancy practice, Tax, Audit Management consulting, serving clients in both public and private sectors. In 2003, he moved to Integrity Construct Ltd as the Head finance and Control, where he was able to design and implement accounting operations procedures, and established a system of control for the firm. Later in 2006, he joined Olumuyi Odeniyi & Co as Audit Manager, where he led the teams to many audit assignments (both statutory and specialized), carried out Tax audits of banks and companies on behalf of Lagos state government (TAMA), consulted for the Bank of Industry SME Loan scheme- preparing financial statements, tax clearance certificates and business plans for SMEs.
