Deji Rahman is a management consultant, business strategist, financial analyst, and author. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics, both from the University of Lagos. He is a fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, fellow of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria and member of Nigeria Economic Society and member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. He has also attended several strategy courses both in Nigeria and overseas.
He was at different times Head, Capital Market, Business Times Newspaper (in the Daily Times Group); Head, Research, Financial Standard Newspaper; Head, Research & Strategy, F & C Securities Limited (now FCSL Asset Management) and Co-ordinator, Market Research & Intelligence in the Strategy Group, Fidelity Bank Plc. He has spearheaded and participated in several strategic and transformation agenda, including the Fidelity Bank SME initiative.
In 2014, he joined Nosak Group as Group Head of Strategy. Because of his strategic thinking, the Group restructured its activities into three sectors: Starch and Derivatives, Oils and Fats, and Treasury and Asset Management. This has allowed the organization to focus on its competitive advantage. Later in 2022, he was promoted to Group Chief Strategy Officer to further push the organization’s strategic stance.
In 2023, he was appointed as the Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) due to his impact on company’s strategic direction. In this role, he will lead the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and drive growth in achieving a sustainable corporate organization.
He is the author of the book, “Circus of the Absurd”, which has enjoyed critical reviews in the media. He is a regular contributor on the economy, public policy and corporate/organisational strategies across different media spectra and platforms
