NOSAK GROUP'S RESPONSIBLE PROGRAMS

At Nosak Group, we aim to provide quality products, services and solutions, and in doing so, we perpetuate the highest ethical standards. Our customers, employees, partners, suppliers and Government require us to act morally. While we continue to increase our responsible efforts, below are some of our past and current Responsible Programs:

ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

The management of Nosak Distilleries Limited has commenced the rehabilitation of Nosak Road in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area (L.G.A.) of Lagos.

SCHOOL REHABILITATION

Nosak Group has completed the reconstruction of Ogunbor Primary School located at Ukhiri-Eresoyen in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo state.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

As part of our CSR drive in tandem with our ‘touching lives every day’ slogan, we donate household items to members of the less privileged communities.

DONATIONS TO RIVERWOOD SWITCH FOUNDATION

BACK TO SCHOOL INITIATIVE

Nosak Group sponsors pupils in schools such as Doyisem Best Academy, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos through the back to school initiative of Riverwood Switch Foundation

DONATIONS TO FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

Nosak Group showed their support by donating essential medical items to support the Lagos State Government in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

HEALTH AND SAFETY WEEK

Every year, we organize a health and safety walk/rally, a defensive driving lecture at public motor garages and motor parks and lastly, safety lectures at Nosak Group head office. The main objective is to sensitize the public transport motor drivers on safety awareness on the wheel and defensive driving.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Because we believe strongly in contributing to the development of manpower needs of our country, we currently award scholarships to deserving students that are indigenes of the area where our farm is located in Edo State. Currently, we are sponsoring 8 students at the University level and 84 students at the Senior Secondary level through Cowry Rotary Club.

ORPHANAGE DONATIONS

At CCD Superstores, we make contributions to Little Saints Orphanage and Hope For Life Initiative to care for orphans, abused and abandoned children as well as widows. Today over a hundred children and women have benefited from such initiatives.

INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

We are continuously investing in the provision of social facilities like boreholes, buildings and road development to schools, police stations and residents in our primary areas of operations such as Ogudu GRA, Amuwo Odofin Industrial Area and communities such as Idogbo and Ikpe in Benin City.

REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE

We integrate environmentally friendly standards to safeguard the environment. At our farm, we employ regenerative processes to guarantee long-term environmental health. At our ethanol plant, we employ sound waste disposal practices that do not damage the environment. At the plastics plant, we use innovative and effective packaging solutions to avoid product leakage or spoilage and consequent waste.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH & WELL-BEING

Creating a safe working environment for our employees remains a top priority. We aim for zero workplace injuries. With our capable and well-staffed HSE department, we are also making an impact through our employee health and well-being training programs.

GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES

At Nosak Distilleries, good manufacturing practice is part of all stages of our process. We know how the quality control, quality assurance and continuous improvement of quality are of paramount importance and we ensure compliance with hygiene standards in industry and staff is an integral part of our manufacturing practices of international quality.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

We believe in giving back to the community in any way we can which is why we donate computer systems to neighbouring schools such as Ogudu Junior Grammar School through the National Youth Service Corps to help improve computer literacy among students as well as improve academic performance in Computer Science.

DONATIONS TO PARASTATALS

CCD Superstores donates waste bins manufactured by Nosak Plastics Limited to Government Agencies such as Area H Police Station, Ogudu Primary Health Center and Kosofe Local Government Council Ogudu to keep the community clean and tidy.

ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR

Every year, CCD Superstores conducts a free health fair for the community. Free health screenings are conducted ranging from blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar level, hepatitis B test, kidney, liver, eyes, lungs, hair and many more. Thereafter, appropriate treatment is prescribed by participating Medical Doctors and Pharmacists.

GAS GENERATORS

At all our factories, we generate energy through gas generators which burns cleaner than diesel fuel. It also has quieter engine noise level, thereby reducing noise pollution.

DONATIONS TO OGRA SECURITY

Donations include umbrellas and chairs to the OGUDU GRA RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION SECURITY TEAM (OGRA) to appreciate their efforts in securing the community.

SAFE DRIVING TECHNIQUES – FRSC

Nosak Group in partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps will train and recruit drivers for Nosak Haulage Limited as well as official drivers throughout the Group.

LEADERSHIP BUSINESS SUMMIT

Nosak Group sponsors the annual Pinnacle Leadership Academy Summit. The purpose is to help individuals become financially independent through their ability to constantly generate income while making significant impact around them.

OGUDU GRAMMAR SCHOOL

As a responsible member of the Ogudu community, Nosak Group donates and supports the Ogudu Senior Grammar School valedictory service and prize-giving ceremony.

GREEN IT ZONE

Reducing the amount of paper we use plays a vital role in minimizing waste. Our IT infrastructure reduces our paper consumption throughout the Group.

LAGOS FOOD BANK INITIATIVE

Nosak healthcare products were donated to the Lagos food bank initiative to support their outreach efforts in catering to the less privileged.

DIVINE MERCY CATHOLIC CHURCH

Nosak Healthcare products were distributed to the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and others who attended the event in April 2018.

BENOLA – CEREBRAL PALSY INITIATIVE

At Nosak Group, we remain committed to our charitable efforts. We contributed to the “1000 cerebral palsy wheelchairs drive” organized by Benola – cerebral palsy initiative.

DONATION TO RCCG, OGUDU

With the gradual opening of worship centres and other public places, the management of the Group has continued to drum support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
