Mr Gabriel Idahosa, FCA, is a distinguished Nigerian chartered accountant, management consultant, and business leader with over four decades of experience across multiple industries. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Nosak Group’s Board of Directors, providing strategic oversight and governance to one business.
Professional Background
Mr. Idahosa is the Managing Partner and CEO of UHY Maaji & Co., a member firm of the global UHY International network. In this role, he oversees quality control and assurance, ensuring that all engagements meet international standards and best practices. His expertise spans consulting, audit, taxation, business process engineering, due diligence, and risk management across sectors including oil and gas, finance, logistics, telecommunications, manufacturing, and agriculture.
He began his career at Peat Marwick (now KPMG) before co-founding UHY Maaji & Co. in 1980. Over the years, he has led numerous high-impact projects in internal and external audits, IPO listings, private placements, and business advisory services
Leadership and Public Service
In December 2023, Mr. Idahosa was elected as the 43rd President and Chairman of the Council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), following his tenure as Deputy President. His leadership at LCCI underscores his commitment to promoting sound business policies and protecting the interests of Nigeria’s private sector.
He also serves on the board of SUNU Health Nigeria, where he contributes his financial and strategic expertise to the healthcare sector.
Education and Professional Affiliations
Mr. Idahosa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), obtained in 1975. He completed the professional accountancy examination of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), London, in December 1976 and was admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1978.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), and a member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD).
