Nosak Group Reconstructs Ogunbor Primary School In Ukhiri- Eresoyen Community

Nosak Group has completed the reconstruction of Ogunbor Primary School located at Ukhiri-Eresoyen in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo state. The renovation is part of the Nosak Foundation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative for the host community of Saturn Farms Limited, the agro-allied subsidiary of the Group.

Speaking on the renovation, the Group Executive Chairman, Dr. Toni Ogunbor expressed delight in the completion of the project. “We are happy with the completion of this rehabilitation project which is in line with the four cardinal points of our CSR framework, which includes education, health, entrepreneurship, and the environment”.

“At Nosak Group, we are very passionate about education. Prior to undertaking this project, the school was not a conducive environment for learning, and this motivated us to commission the rebuilding of the school. It is our hope that the community will put the facility to good use with regular use and maintenance.”, he added.

The upgraded facilities include a rebuilt 3-classroom block, renovation of a 5-classroom block, upgrade of toilets, interlocking pavements, flower beds, electrification of the premises, new signage, wired fence, a newly created football field to cater for recreational activities of the children and a gate to secure the school.

Similarly, Dr. Toni Ogunbor, a 1967 alumnus of Eghosa Anglican Grammar School in Benin City also commissioned the renovation of a 5-classroom block of the school through the Nosak Foundation. The facelift includes an overhaul of the classroom block and other facilities to aid learning.

On the cost of the projects, the Chairman disclosed that Ogunbor Primary School, Ukhiri-Eresoyen and Eghosa Anglican Grammar School, Benin City cost above N40million and N10million respectively, making a total of over N50million for both projects executed by the Nosak Foundation.
