The Need To Encourage Change – Nosak Group GMD

At the July Management Performance Review (MPR) held on Tuesday, August 11, 2021, at the conference hall of Nosak Haulage Limited, the Group Managing Director (GMD), Mr. Thomas Oloriegbe stated the need to encourage change as a driving principle to personal and business development.
Stating this in his opening remark, he said, “Things have changed, and they will continue to change just like climate change, economic change, social change and change in the business landscape.”

He continued that change has become dynamic with the recent occurrences especially in the banking sector that has seen female Managing Directors emerged at Guaranty Trust (GT) Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Fidelity Bank Plc, Citibank Nigeria, Unity Bank and SunTrust Bank.
Mr. Oloriegbe emphasized change in the way we adapt to new working trends in our processes with technological advancement and digital transformation. “We all need to champion this digital trend through encouragement among our team members and subordinates to embrace the new trends and processes. With the digital advancement, we are in an era of entitlement where people expect and demand reports or information at the snap of a finger.”

The meeting was the first physical MPR session since the outbreak of Covid-19 at the end of Q1, 2020, which resulted to lockdown and closure of offices. It is on record that prior to that time, the Group had already commenced the migration of most physical activities to the online space such as Office 365. The eventual lockdown fast-tracked the adoption of the digital culture by employees across the Group.
